One Africa’s Brighter Monday closes offices in Rwanda

Brighter Monday, a jobsite and recruitment service provider has shut down its operations in Rwanda.brighter monday

Founded in Kenya in 2006 and operating in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, BrighterMonday in Rwanda was a free of charge site and users can create a free account, search and apply for jobs or submit their CV on the site to help them quickly apply for jobs on the site.

The One Africa Media backed job site offered services that facilitate applications for employment and did not directly offer employment to job seekers. It didn’t guarantee employment but it’s sole purpose was to provide a platform for both job seekers and employers to advertise and apply for jobs and manage responses for their clients/subscribers on the website.

It’s Kenyan and Uganda counterparts had however, moved to fully recruitment services, making a coin or two on recruitment agencies and employers. The site has now been redirected to BrighterMonday Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania-all hosted at BrighterMonday.com.

Ringier Africa acquired One Africa Media’s pan-African Classifieds assets in May this year to create and grow Africa’s largest classifieds group with a new outfit dubbed Ringier One Africa Media(ROAM). To remain competitive and have some liquidity to run its operations BrighterMonday Rwanda had to be foregone for ROAM to consolidate back home.
